Count Robert & Missy

Count Robert came to live with Bob and I as a tiny little 6 week old kitten who was the runt of the litter. As I sat on the floor surrounded by kittens this tiny little ball of fur walked up and picked me. That was in about 1970 or so. For the next 16 years he was the light of lives. He is always in my heart. Heaven may be richer with him there but he left a big hole in our hearts when he left us. Like my precious Mr. Ming, he will be forever loved. The joy they filled our lives with is immeasurable. By the way, the little runt grew into an 18 pound young man.

After we lost the Countess (our first Siamese cat) we brought home a little girl that I named Messalina after Claudius Caesar's second wife but we called her Missy. She had little time for the people in the household during the Count's lifetime. She did warm up to us after he passed away. She shared my home and life for 19 years. Although Missy was a 3 pound tyrant she and Mr. Ming were instant friends. They would curl up on the couch and sleep like they had always been best friends.
Count Robert - the Siamese Cat

Count Robert was the most loving cat. My dad put his sunglasses on him and The Count just sat there looking cool.

Missy is sitting on the clock radio on the bed head board next to The Count. They were treasures.
